Who we are?
all backgrounds – attorneys, professors, legal officers, judges – in France and elsewhere, with the purpose of exchanging views on legal topics and issues involving blockchain technology and, more generally, the use
of decentralized ledgers.
Aware of the challenges of these new technologies for the law, including in its deepest foundations such as property rights, the association aims to be a forum for reflection and discussion. It operates as a Think Tank, based
on specific research projects, carried out independently of each other. Each project must give rise to the publication of a written document, with or without recommendations, in the form of a report or any other form, if necessary
followed by a presentation or public debate at conferences and other scientific events.
The purpose of the association is not to duplicate the work carried out by professional representative bodies in their dealings with public authorities in France or the European Union.
Members of the association are individuals and do not bind the entities for which they work.
The association is independent of all industrial or commercial companies, public or European bodies.
The association’s resources are limited to membership fees and donations from benefactors.
Governance
The association’s articles of association have been filed with the Préfecture de Paris. The association is managed by an Executive Committee, responsible for the association’s operational management, and a Board of Directors (see members below), which sets the association’s strategic direction and decides on new member applications.
